That morning, I will never forget what I saw. It was six o\u2019clock, the time I usually woke up, but this time, it wasn\u2019t like any other. I was deep asleep, in my bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The night before, I had returned very late from a party, around three in the morning, and I was counting on a few extra hours of sleep. But in the morning, my dog started barking loudly and insistently, as if he had something urgent to tell me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It wasn\u2019t like him to wake me up so early. Normally, he only wakes me up for his walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet me sleep a little,\u201d I murmured to him, hoping he\u2019d understand. But he didn\u2019t stop. Instead, he put his paw on my chest and began gently shaking me, staring straight into my eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was strange, this insistence. A dog as smart as him never behaved this way, and I couldn\u2019t understand what was bothering him so much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
