Shadow, a German Shepherd, had been abused by his previous owners and had eventually been found at the animal shelter. He didn\u2019t trust anyone and wouldn\u2019t let anyone get close to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To keep visitors cautious, a sign was posted on his cage: \u201cWarning! Keep your distance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeing the sign, no one dared approach his cage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One day, a family came to the shelter to adopt a dog. They had a little girl named Lily with them. While her parents were looking at other dogs, Lily stayed indifferent, not wanting to approach any of the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While her parents were talking to a shelter employee, Lily wandered off. She had spotted Shadow and was heading towards him. She was already very close to the dog when her parents realized she was no longer by their side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They began searching for her and found her standing in front of Shadow\u2019s cage. The dog started growling, and suddenly, Lily began to cry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parents and employees rushed to move her away from the dog, but when they discovered the reason Lily was crying, they were shocked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the parents and employees finally managed to move Lily away from Shadow\u2019s cage, they were puzzled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But as they bent down toward her, they realized that Lily\u2019s tears weren\u2019t because she was afraid of the dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
